According to E! News, fans have been firing complaints at Elle's 25th anniversary issue claiming they lightened Gabourey's skin on purpose.
They're also saying complaining that the other three girls on the covers — Megan Fox, Amanda Seyfried and Lauren Conrad — have full-length shots, but Gabourey's has been cropped.

But Elle is firing back saying they treated all of their cover stars the same.
"Nothing out of the ordinary was done," the magazine said in a statement (via E! News). "We have four separate covers this month and Gabby's cover was not retouched any more or less than the others"
