Here's another reason to love Country Strong star Garrett Hedlund — he's not afraid to make a move.

Kissing Gwyneth Paltrow might make some young actors nervous, but Garrett treated it as just another normal day at work!
"Me and Gwyneth and director Shana Feste went to dinner for like an hour one of the days prior, and that was the first Gwyneth and I met each other," Garrett, 26, explained to The Boot about his first meeting with Gwyneth.
And the next thing he knew he was kissing his co-star on set!
"You have to jump in and play these tender scenes, but you know what you're getting in for and you know what you want to do and what you want to show within your character."
"You kind of forget about the nerves of it and you focus on the scene and the characters," Garrett explained. "Shana wrote such a tender script filled with a lot of beauty, and you just want to try to show some of that."

And Garrett didn't even practice the lip lock with Gwyneth beforehand!
"We didn't even talk about it beforehand," he said. "The two of you show up, it's just really another day at work and being professional and mature about it. I'm more focused on the character and the work and not me."
Well, we can't wait to see Garrett's work as Beau Hutton when Country Strong hits theaters nationwife Jan. 7!
