Gatorade has announced that it will discontinue its "Tiger Focus" sports drink, becoming the first of the golfer's endorsers to drop him in the wake of his cheating scandal.
However, Gatorade released a statement Tuesday saying the decision to end production on the "Tiger Focus" drink had been made long before Tiger Wood's car crash and revelations of his many extra marital affairs.
A Gatorade spokesperson released an official statement to RadarOnline.com: "As reported last month, we decided several months ago to discontinue Gatorade Tiger Focus along with some other products to make room for our planned series of innovative products in 2010. We hope to share more about our 2010 plans soon."

The company insists its "partnership" with the PGA champ will continue. A rep told the Web site, "our partnership with Tiger does continue. Tiger and his family have our support as he works through his private matter."
But when the company released its official statement, the part about continuing its "partnership" with the embattled athlete was noticeably absent, says RadarOnline.com.
