George Takei & Hubby First Gay Couple on "The Newlywed Game"

Not only is the classic game show The Newlywed Game getting a face-lift with its updated show, it will also feature its first gay couple -- George Takei and husband Brad Altman, reports the Associated Press.

George, who played Mr. Sulu on Star Trek, has been with his husband for 22 years, but the couple just celebrated their first wedding anniversary this week. They were married in L.A. on Sept. 14, 2008.

The brand new version of the popular show, which first aired in 1966,  features Carnie Wilson as the host and airs on the Game Show Network.
