GERI "GINGER SPICE" HALLIWELL TO WRITE CHILDREN'S BOOKS

While her fellow Spice Girl bandmates, and , are making headlines, the artist formerly known as is taking pen to paper to write a series of children's books. And if that weren't enough, the 34-year-old single mother is back in the studio to record a theme for the series.Geri's planned six-book series will follow the capers of 9-year-old Ugenia Lavender, a bold and assertive young girl who solves mysteries when she's not busy with her schoolwork.The former Spice Girl explains that the shift from pop star to kid-lit author is a natural extension of her life, which changed dramatically following the birth last may of her daughter, Bluebell Madonna. I'm up in my office, so I can still be with my child, which is really important for me.As for rumors of a Spice reunion, Geri plays it coy, saying only, We'll see!Photo: WireImage
