Calling all Ginger Spice fans: now's your chance!

Geri Halliwell has called off her engagement to her Italian fiancé. The former Spice Girl, who planned to wed shipping millionaire Fabrizio Politi after a whirlwind two-month romance, has called time on their relationship just three months after announcing the happy news.

The pair became almost inseparable after meeting at the opening of a nightclub in Italy last December, with Geri reportedly telling friends she had met "The One" and that she "couldn't be happier."

But Geri, who has a two-year-old daughter, Bluebell, from a previous relationship, ended the love affair after deciding she "wasn't the marrying kind."

A source told a tabloid newspaper: "Geri woke up one morning last week and decided she just wasn’t the marrying type.

“She loved being in a relationship but decided that all she needs is her daughter Bluebell to keep her happy."

The source added: “Fabrizio is upset but totally respects Geri’s wishes.”

Friends of the 36-year-old have admitted they are not surprised by the star's decision, as she "has a track record for getting cold feet."

Geri recently revealed she is whimsical when it comes to relationships and often has a radical change of heart.

She said: “I can be fickle. One minute I think somebody is the love of my life, the next I don't. I have commitment issues.”
