Get The Look: Anne Hathaway's 1960's Inspired 'Rio' Ponytail!
April 12 2011, Published 8:42 a.m. ET
Anne Hathaway always looks flawless — even sporting a messy ponytail! Frederic Fekkai’s Adir Abergel created a 1960's inspired "piecey ponytail" for Anne at the premiere of her new animated movie Rio in Hollywood Sunday!
INSPIRATION: Fekkai’s Abergel created a modernized 1960’s hair style that was sexy and full of texture
HOW TO GET THE LOOK: Abergel started by applying Fekkai Advanced Full Blown Volume Styling Whip throughout the hair. He roughly blow dried the hair with his hands to bring out the hairs natural texture. With a round brush, Abergel blow dried the rest of the hair straight, so that the hair was smooth and soft. He then curled the hair using a 1 ¼ inch curling iron and applied Fekkai Coiff Ocèanique Tousled Wave Spray, scrunching the hair with a diffuser to create the texture that would last through the night. Abergel then followed the line of the ear to the crown of the head to place the ponytail, leaving a few pieces fall in front. To secure the look, he applied Fekkai Coiff™ Sheer Hold Hairspray for all night hold.
