Giuliana Rancic can be proud of herself for many reasons. She has an amazing career as an E! anchor, she wrote an awesome book called Think Like A Guy, she’s the namesake behind Style Network’s smash reality show Giuliana and Bill and she married the original Apprentice winner Bill Rancic.

But diet-wise, Giuliana, 35, smartly ditched soda and coffee four years ago.

“I haven’t had soda in four years,” she tells me. “I quit coffee four years ago, which is crazy for an Italian because I drink coffee three or four times a day. Now no more coffee, rarely tea. I should drink tea because tea is fine for you, and green tea is good for you in moderation. I don’t even do it.”

What inspired her to ditch the drinks?

“I’d rather drink natural things like water or hot water and lemon if I’m not feeling well,” she says. “I don’t love all the sugars in sodas. I try to keep it simple. I don’t even drink flavored water. I don’t drink Red Bull or any of that.”

She continues, “Sodas and a lot of drinks are the enemy. You have to be so careful because the next thing you know, you’re like ‘why am I so fat?’ and you only have, like, four frappucinos a day. And you’re like ‘well, hello, they’re all 600 calories.’ You have to be careful with drinks.”

Now that summer is here, Giuliana turns to 3 Musketeers Truffle Crisp bars to curb her candy cravings.

“It’s good, because if you look at the back, there aren’t that many ingredients. You never want to eat anything with tons of ingredients. It actually only has ten ingredients, it’s 85 calories a bar, and it’s good. I don’t need a ton of dessert. I just need to satisfy my sweet tooth, so that’s what I’ll do.”

How does the star  get bikini-ready for summer?

“I spend more time on abs at the gym,” she says. “I love the plank. I’ve been doing more planks, and ball stuff with ab work on the ball. The big rubber ball, not the little one. I focus more on my shoulders and biceps because I know that that’s what you’re going to be seeing a lot of, especially in the little bikini. I try to pump up the arms a bit and concentrate more on the core. Do planks. Nothing crazy – I don’t do crunches or anything – but I’ll do balance stuff that activates the core and makes you work the core.”

Of course, fingers are crossed that Giuliana isn't fretting her figure this year. She and her hubby document their struggle to get pregnant on their reality show Giuliana and Bill.

Here’s my pic with Giuliana:
