LeBron James loves keeping the sports world guessing. After weeks of speculation about where the free agent would go next, he has announced that he will be returning to the Cleveland Cavaliers after four years with the Miami Heat. The Cavaliers are the same team that drafted him out of high school eleven years ago.

In his exclusive announcement with Sports Illustrated, LeBron wrote, "I always believed that I’d return to Cleveland and finish my career there. I just didn’t know when." He explained that he has started a family with his wife, and he wants to be back in his hometown to settle down. "I want kids in Northeast Ohio, like the hundreds of Akron third-graders I sponsor through my foundation, to realize that there’s no better place to grow up."

He made no promises for an instant championship, and explained it would be a tough adjustment. But he ended on an emotional note: "In Northeast Ohio, nothing is given. Everything is earned. You work for what you have. I’m ready to accept the challenge. I’m coming home."
