The band's drummer, Tre Cool, and bassist Mike Dirnt, filmed a spot and uploaded the video to their website apologizing to their Italian fans.
"Obviously, we apologize profusely, this is really unfortunate. Billy got rushed to the hospital last night due to illness, and the doctors don’t think it’s a good idea for him to play today," they said. "This sucks. We really, really were looking forward to playing in Bolognia. It’s the highlight of our tour."
As of Tuesday, Billie is on the mend as the band prepares for their next show on Sept. 21 in Las Vegas.
