Guy Ritchie Still Loves Madonna

Since their split in 2008, Guy Ritchie has watched his ex-wife Madonna take on an entirely different persona. The Material Girl has swapped London for New York, and exchanged her British ex for a 22-year-old, Brazilian Jesus Luz, but the film director admits "I still love her."
However, in the no-holds-barred interview with Esquire magazine, he adds cryptically, "but she's retarded, too."
Despite the split, Guy admires the constantly-evolving mother of his biological son Rocco, 9, (they adopted David Banda, 3, from Malawi in 2006). "She's a manifester, if there ever was one," says the 41-year-old.

"First-rate manifester. Madonna makes things happen. Put Madonna up against any twenty-three-year-old, she'll outwork them, outdance them, outperform them. The woman is broad."
"You can't tell someone when they're getting divorced that their pain is an illusion," he continues. "I'm f****** telling you, I feel it, I've been through that."
What a transformation from the early days of their relationship, "Madonna, when she came in here, it was old-school London," Guy says. "No one bothered her. 'Hello, darling. How are you, darling? What can we get you?' It was fundamental, old-school. It didn't matter who she was. She was my wife."
