A girl’s wedding gown should be the dress of her dreams and that’s exactly how Gwen Stefani felt about hers. But we wonder if her thoughts have now changed after her dress designer has been involved in a big scandal?
Gwen gushed to Elle UK about her wedding dress in their new issue, which went to print before John Galliano‘s “anti-Semitic” scandal occurred.
“When I got engaged and someone told me that John said he would make my dress, I was like really?” she recalled (via New York Magazine). “I said I wanted it to be over the top, but not traditional — I wanted it to be everything. But how do you tell this genius over the phone? He was, like, OK, and sent me these drawings of this unbelievable, perfect dress.”
“It’s going into the V&A [Victoria & Albert Museum] now,” Gwen explained. “I didn’t wanna send it because I was scared it would get ruined. But it’s a work of art, it needed to be seen.”
Do you think Gwen’s view on her gown has now changed?
