'The Hangover: Part 2' Cast Talk Filming: "Hardest Shoot Ever"

The Hangover: Part 2 stars Bradley Cooper, Ed Helms and Zach Galifianakis are looking adorable together on the new cover of Entertainment Weekly, but the stars say filming the sequel was far from cute!

The script for The Hangover: Part 2 is widely inappropriate just the way fans want it, but even the cast was shocked by it the first time they read it!

“I remember thumbing through it, going, ‘Oh God. Oh God,’ ” Zach tells EW.

And filming took place in Bangkok, which made it even more challenging to shoot, especially in the high heat.

“It was the hardest shoot I’ve ever done for sure,” Bradley says. “Nothing ever even came close to it.”

And on top of that, the cast and crew suffered food-related illness and Ed will never forget it.

“It does something to your mind when you get that sick,” he says. “You go to a scared, dark place.”

But the cast hopes to live up to the first film, which was the highest-grossing R-rated comedy of all time.

“I was a little bit apprehensive," Zach recalls of taking on the sequel. "I was just of the mindset: ‘Oh, let’s leave well enough alone.’ “
