The Hangover Part II had the third-best Thursday gross of all time! The highly-anticipated sequel earned $31.7 million on its opening day at the domestic box office.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, 54 percent of Thursday's moviegoers were under the age of 25.
The Hangover Part II is now on track to gross $110 to $125 million by Monday, which would be the best debut of the year and the highest ever for an R-rated comedy!

But there is another sequel that had a very good opening day.
DreamWorks Animation and Paramount’s Kung Fu Panda 2 grossed $5.8 million on Thursday. The film should gross $65 million to $70 million, which is right on track with expectations.
So Memorial Day weekend has two great sequels to see — one for the adults and one for the kids!
