The actor who plays Harry Potter's arch-enemy has defended Daniel Radcliffe over the rumors that the actor smoked marijuana.
Daniel, 20, was snapped allegedly inhaling from a rolled-up cigarette at a UK party earlier this month. He has strongly denied he was smoking pot and is considering legal action against Britain's Mirror newspaper.
Tom Felton, who plays Draco Malfoy, came to Daniel's defense in an interview with the UK's Daily Telegraph newspaper.
"Obviously Daniel and Emma Watson are under more pressure to keep a squeaky-clean image," he says, "When the media fabricates stories I don't think it's really fair on those poor guys.
"Those guys couldn't be more professional, especially Daniel, not only with the acting part but dealing with the day-to-day stuff. I look up to him.
"We've all worked together for so long. They're all lovely people."
The co-stars spoke on the phone last week and 22-year-old Tom says, "I just reassured Daniel that the vast majority of people are on his side."

Daniel has denied the allegations of drug-taking, insisting that he only smokes "the occasional cigarette."
The cast are currently shooting scenes for the final installment of the Harry Potter movies, the two-part Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows.
Meanwhile, Tom has one concern about life after the wizard movies: "I'm not looking forward to not being blonde anymore. I've forgotten what my real hair color is."
