Hasselhoff Says Ear Infection Prompted Hospital Visit

Sept. 21 2009, Published 7:55 a.m. ET
It seems an ear infection, and not booze, was hassling The Hoff last night, prompting a 911 call and a hospital visit: David Hasselhoff says he wasn't drinking yesterday, and that medication for his ear problem mixed badly with his anti-drinking meds and caused his equilibrium to get all screwy.
TMZ originally reported that daughter Hayley called her mom Pamela, afraid that David had been drinking. The site now says David's people blame the hospital trip on the combination of ear infection med Antivert and Antabuse, which prevents alcoholics from drinking. His people say the combo messed up his equilibirium and he felt sick, but was unable to reach his family doctor.
