Hayden's Whale of a Good Time
May 20 2008, Published 11:00 a.m. ET
It is no surprise that Heroes star Hayden Panettiere is an advocate of preserving and protecting the oceanic world. After all, back in October, she swam out to sea with other activists from the U.S. and Australia in attempt to stop Japanese fisherman from driving a pod of dolphins into a nearby cove to have them massacred.
OK! caught up with a very busy Hayden, who just wrapped filming her new movie, I Love You Beth Cooper, in Vancouver. The teen star who is back filming Heroes says, “If we save the whales, we can save the world. That’s why it’s time to Save the Whales again.”
To ensure that this cause that she holds so dear to her heart has an impact, she has teamed up with the Whaleman Foundation for a one-of-a-kind auction through eBay.com.
The winner of this auction, along with five friends, will join Hayden at the Save the Whales Again fundraising dinner at Eva Longoria’s new restaurant Beso in L.A. and a private whale watching tour with the star and world-renowned whale researcher Jeff Pantukhoff.
