Haylie Duff Is Loving Motherhood And Has Joined Forces With Huggies To Help Babies Stay Clean And Dry! Get The Details
Haylie Duff teamed up with Huggies Lil Movers and the children's nonprofit Baby2Baby to help donate 500,000 diapers to families in need and OK! got to chat with The Real Girl's Kitchen star about her partnership.
Did you know 1 in 3 U.S. moms struggle to provide clean diapers for their babies? A staggering fact that puts so many infants in unhealthy situations. Hailey said, "There’s nothing more important to me than making sure my baby is comfortable, happy and free to explore her new little world" which is why she felt so connected to this cause.
OK!: How is motherhood treating you?
Haylie Duff: Motherhood for me has been, obviously life changing. It’s been the most incredible experience. I just feel lucky that I get to feel all these new emotions. I just have the most wonderful little baby. I’m also tired and getting like one or two hours of sleep sometimes. I think every mother probably feels like they don’t get enough sleep but I think the moment you see your little girls face in the morning you’re like, ‘Okay I’m not that upset with you for keeping me up all night.’
OK!: Is Luca excited for a playmate?
HD: Yes! My sister and I share a weekend place out in Malibu. We take the kids out there on Friday and we got him to hold Ryan the first time, which was pretty fun. He’s really being sweet with her now, and he’s warmed up to the fact that she’s not taking his mommy away and that I’m her mommy. So now he really likes her, which is great.

HD: So much has surprised me. The emotional side, I didn’t know how intense feelings would be and how serious I would take certain things. But I also have been surprised at the way women seem to band together when they become mothers. When one mom needs help doing something or is feeling pressure or judgment it seems like moms are really happy and excited to band together and support one another.
OK!: Did your sister give you some good advice you’d want to share?
HD: She didn’t really give me advice, which I think is really awesome because I think sometimes it can be too much advice from other moms. She's just been there to support me. Whenever I needed to cry about something or I needed her to just come hold the baby for an hour to let me sleep I think just being there is the best way to support a new mom.
OK!: What attracted you to the National Diaper Need campaign?
HD: A couple things attracted me to it. One, just statistics of how many mothers need diapers and don't have access to them. It's heart-breaking to think about how much you care about providing for your child and how personally you take every little thing, whether you feel like you failed at something or you succeeded at something, to be able to support those mothers and provide them with something they need for their babies felt really special to me. Also, the Huggies Little Movers have this great new moving baby system where they have contoured edges on their diapers and they're really considering babies feelings and their comfort. So I love that too. Plus I love how many diapers they're donating. It’s just a huge amount. It makes such a difference so I was happy to be a part of that.
