Hear Homeless Man Ted Williams' Golden Radio Voice
Jan. 5 2011, Published 5:44 a.m. ET
Looks like 2011 is going to be the start of a new life for homeless man Ted Williams. The Ohioan has already struck gold on YouTube with over four million clicking to hear his golden radio voice. Don't understand what the fuss is all about? We suggest you take a listen below.
Ted could be found along highways in Columbus, Ohio loitering with his handmade sign proclaiming his "God-given gift of a voice."
A curious reporter for The Columbus Dispatch paper stopped by one of Ted's known spots to record him saying voice-over phrases, like "Coming up next!"
His strong, crisp and inspiring voice contrasted with his disheveled appearance is a truly incredible sight, making his voice almost better.
Days after the curious reporter's investigation, millions have watched the video.
Ted's sign also explained he was "an ex-radio announcer who has fallen on hard times"; however, that doesn't make his gift any less impressive.
According to AOL, Ted was already on an Ohio radio show this morning, and he'll be on NBC's Today Show on Thursday.
The viral video has also launched a slew of job offers organizations like NFL, ESPN and MTV.

• The Ohio Credit Union League: Also on WNCI this morning, Williams was offered a $10,000 opportunity to do voice-over work for the Ohio Credit Union League, pending a background check.
