In the October issue of GQ magazine, Oscar winner Dame Helen Mirren confesses she hasn’t always been queenly in her behavior.
“I loved coke,” says Helen of her wild life in the ’70s and ’80s. “I never did a lot, just a bit at parties.”
Helen had a wakeup call she says, after reading about Nazi war criminal Klaus Barbie making money from cocaine in South America, "all the cards fell into place and I saw how my little sniff of cocaine at a party had an absolute direct route."
The beloved The Queen actress also confesses she tried marijuana and "hated it."
“Dope always made me feel miserable and paranoid and unhappy," she says. "And I woke up one day and thought, ‘No more of that, thank you.’ ”
