'The Help' Trumps 'Planet of the Apes' & 'Conan the Barbarian' at the Box Office

Emma Stone is taking the box office by storm this summer. Emma's latest flick — in which she costars with Oscar nominee Viola Davis — The Help beat out some heaving hitting sequels and remakes at the box office this weekend.
The Help — based on novel about African-American maids during the Civil Rights era and the brave young, white woman who decided to write their story (Emma) — earned $20.5 million over its second weekend in theaters, trumping its opening weekend debut, Fox reports.
Rise of the Planet of the Apes a 20th Century Fox release, placed second with $16.3 million and Spy Kids: All the Time in the World, the fourth installment of the hit franchise, earned $12 million.
Rounding out the top five were two remakes.
Conan the Barbarian raked in in $10 million and Fright Night starring Colin Farrell, made $8.3 million over the weekend.
