Hollywood's Next Big Thing: Director Jeff Fisher
Everyone in Hollywood predicted the NFL playoffs, The Voice finale and The Big Bang Theory would deliver ratings success in December. What no one expected was the out-of-nowhere success of Hallmark Channel's My Christmas Love, directed by Jeff Fisher.
The film was one of twenty Hallmark movies launching last month. Ratings experts claimed the Twelve Days of Christmas-themed love story would be lucky to end up in the middle of the pack. But Fisher's crowd-pleasing movie, starring Meredith Hagner, Bobby Campo and Gregory Harrison, blasted the competition, including the NFL game between the Miami Dolphins and New York Jets. My Christmas Love ended the year as Hallmark's highest rated film!
Anyone surprised by the results should take a deeper look at Fisher's growing list of TV and film achievements. Fisher parlayed his first industry job, as Martin Scorsese's assistant on Cape Fear into directing and producing gigs on reality hits like Keeping Up With The Kardashians, The Simple Life with Paris Hilton and Nicole Richie, TheReal World, Road Rules, DanceLife with Jennifer Lopez and TheReal Housewives of Atlanta. Fisher's first feature film, Killer Movie starred Kaley Cuoco, Paul Wesley and Leighton Meester before Big Bang Theory, Vampire Diaries and Gossip Girl turned the trio into household names. Killer Movie premiered at the Tribeca Film Festival and set the stage for great things to come.

According to Wesley, "Jeff is the kind of director I want to work with... cool, smart, supportive and exceptional. I had a great time on Killer Movie... one of the best experiences for me as an actor and I made a lot of great friends."
Cuoco added, "Jeff is a great collaborator. He makes everyone feel comfortable and ends up with great performances from his cast."
Next up for Fisher is another feature romantic comedy and continued work on hit TV series and movies.
