The singer quit the show last year to promote her album Lotus. But now she's agree to return (her rumored $12 million salary probably helped her make that a not-so-tough decision.) But with Christina's arrival, somebody's got to go.
“Everybody can’t coach for life because when you have people with current recording in the game, this is not their job,” the show's producer Mark Burnett says. “Their job is their fans and making music and being live, and so we knew from the beginning that this would happen, and we’ve had six coaches. They all have another life and their schedules.”
Like Christina, Cee Lo Green also took time off time to work on his Loberace Las Vegas show. But whether he's game to return, or if the remaining judges—Adam Levine, Blake Shelton and Usher—will be axed, is still anybody's guess.
