Hugh Grant Was Close to Replacing Charlie Sheen on 'Two and a Half Men'?

Up until last night, Hugh Grant was reportedly "deep into final negotiations" to replace Charlie Sheen on Two and a Half Men, but decided to back out.

According to Deadline, Hugh was reportedly offered more than $1 million an episode to take on the lead role on Two and a Half Men after Charlie was fired.
However, Hugh apparently pulled out last night due to creative differences.

Deadline reports that CBS had hoped a new star could be named at next week's upfronts, so maybe Hugh will change his mind?
According to sources, executive producer and co-creator Chuck Lorre only wants to continue the show "if he can find the right actor and get excited about that."
