Friends, family and fans dressed in camouflage and crowded into the Charleston Municipal Auditorium in West Virginia on April 7 to pay their last respects to Buckwild star Shain Gandee, 21, and his uncle, 48-year-old David Gandee.
The AP reports that country music played in the background and family organized a slideshow tribute showing pictures of Shain—including shots of him dressed in a football uniform when he was younger and a tux for prom in high school.

Ricky Sater, who first met Shain when they attended middle school together, is sure his pal would have approved of the ceremony. "He probably would walk in there going, 'BUCKWILD!'" the 23-year-old said.
As OKMagazine.com reported, Shain, his uncle, and their friend Donald Robert Myers, 27, died of carbon monoxide poisoning after their truck got stuck in mud. Authorities found their lifeless bodies on April 1.

Shain's neighbors, Dreama and Charlie Frampton, remember how much he loved getting dirty while growing up.
"If it wasn't a four-wheel drive truck," Dreama said, "it was a four-wheeler or a dirt bike."
"He was dedicated to the sport," seconded Charlie. "That's all you can do out in the country."
