NEWS'The Hunger Games' Soundtrack Debuts at Number 1 on the Billboard Charts!

We all know that The Hunger Games has broken several movie records, but it has just broken a music record as well! The film's soundtrack debuted at Number 1 on the Billboard Hot 200 Album Chart this week, with sales of just over 175,000 copies.

Billboard.com reports that this is the first soundtrack to hit number 1 since Michael Jackson's 'This Is It' album in 2009. It is also one of only 16 soundtracks to nab the top spot on this chart... ever!

Given the popularity of the movie and the fact that the album boasts songs from Arcade Fire, Taylor Swift, Miranda Lambert and Maroon 5 among others, we're not very surprised.
