
India.Arie to Star on Broadway

India.Arie is the latest star to hit Broadway.
The Grammy winner will headline a re-envisioned production of Ntozake Shange's critically acclaimed play, For Colored Girls Who Have Considered Suicide When the Rainbow is Enuf.
Produced by Whoopi Goldberg and DreamTeam Entertainment Group, For Colored Girls... is a series narrative focused on the identity of black women in the United States. India.Arie will portray one of the seven nameless women in the play.

For Colored Girls... will hold preview performances at Broadway's Circle in the Square on Aug. 19 and will officially open on Sept. 8.
The play will be directed by Shirley Jo Finney and choreographed by Hinton Battle, a three-time Tony winner.
