They may be worlds apart in terms of style and family life, but superstar 6-year-olds Suri Cruise and Shiloh Jolie-Pitt have more in common than meets the eye. Sure, Suri’s a sheltered fashion maven with only nannies for friends, while Shiloh is a rough-and-tumble tomboy surrounded by a Brady Bunch–size brood.

But while both tots have every luxury, their lives lack one element crucial to child development: boundaries. According to those close to their nannies, both girls are allowed, even encouraged, to do whatever they want, whenever they want — even if it seems strange or downright wrong to outsiders. From using a personal credit card to fawning over dead tarantulas, Star unravels the astonishing secret lives of the world’s most famous first-graders.

The once angelic-looking Shiloh has spent her life trying to emulate her father — and that even means cropping her own hair into a shaggy ’do reminiscent of dad Brad Pitt’s look. “Shiloh considers herself a boy,” says a source close to the family. “She will only wear boys’ clothes, and she has the largest boot and sneaker collection of any 6-year-old you’ve ever seen.” But the restless tyke has taken her Brad imitation a bit too far. “I want to be a boy, like Daddy,” she yelled at mom Angelina Jolie when Angie refused to let her use a public men’s restroom recently.

Suri, meanwhile, has never hit anyone with a shoe — but that may be because she has no one to attack. Adhering to Scientology dictates, parents Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes have homeschooled their daughter rather than letting her interact with other kids in a classroom. Besides her nannies and bodyguards, Suri's only playmates are non existent.

"Suri loves her imaginary friends. Tom and Katie think it's strange, but they just want her to be happy, so they go along with it," says a source close to the family.
