Inside Kate Gosselin’s Busy Derby Eve

Kate Gosselin enjoys a weekend away from her eight children during festivities surrounding the Kentucky Derby in Louisville.
The reality star, 36, lists her own phone number when she places bids on an Elvis Presley print and a Pittsburgh Steelers-signed helmet during a silent auction to benefit March of Dames at the Style Icon Luxury Gifting Suite held Friday at the Galt House.
While there, she takes home a Conner Custom Jewelry pendant, George Gina and Lucy sunglasses and handbag, and an invitation to get custom blended teas from The Teaologist.

Hours later, Kate joins bodyguard Steve Neild at the Barnstable Brown bash benefiting diabetes research held at a private residence.
The duo makes a mad dash for the coffee room, where she picks up a cappuccino, and then they enjoy each other’s company beside the pool. Fans clamor for photos, and they seem to have a great time together before – voila – it’s time for another coffee drink.
Kate takes Steve by the arm to watch Boyz II Men perform hits including End of the Road and Motown Philly, and later in the evening, Salt-n-Pepa, Joey Fatone (who covers Guns n' Roses classic Sweet Child O’ Mine), Wayne Brady, Taylor Dayne, Miranda Lambert, Lee Ann Womack and Travis Tritt hit the stage.
Guests including Nick Lachey and Vanessa Minnillo, Wynonna Judd, Marissa Miller and Carson Kressley sip Grey Goose vodka, and enjoy a prize tub, pool bar, sundae bar, dessert room featuring 23-carat gold Kentucky bourbon cake, chocolate fountain buffet and Derby-themed sugar cookies; plus, a buffet complete with chicken, mashed potatoes (chive and cheddar!) and Kentucky corn. Mmm!
