Angelina Jolie’s left shoulder is a kind of family album: That’s where the actress has tattooed six lines of geographical coordinates, signifying the places in which each of her children were born. So naturally, when Angie recently revealed a seventh line of coordinates, it unleashed torrents of speculation — especially since the new latitudinal line passes through Shawnee, Okla., Brad Pitt’s birthplace. What’s more, Angelina’s suddenly flashing a gold band on her ring finger.
The obvious conclusion: The world’s most glamorous couple has finally made a lifelong commitment — and are secretly married. “It means she is fully committed to Brad — for life,” an insider tells OK!. “And it wouldn’t surprise anyone that she’s eager to show off the ring.”
A secret wedding is entirely in character for Brad and Angelina, who recently spent family time together in New Orleans, followed by a romantic getaway to Utah. The unconventional couple is notoriously coy about major life events — they almost seem to enjoy tantalizing press and public before making official announcements.

They kept their romance under wraps for months — until January 2006, when Angie finally announced that she was pregnant with their daughter Shiloh. As the world awaits official word from the couple, it’s been impossible not to speculate on the other possible reading of Angelina’s new ink; it turns out that, aside from Shawnee, the new coordinates also pass through 16 countries, some in strife-torn regions of North Africa, Asia and the Middle East, where Angie has done United Nations humanitarian work. It also passes through Japan.
An insider reveals that Maddox told his parents they should adopt Japanese kids orphaned by the recent earthquake and tsunami. So it’s possible that Angie got the tattoo to signal both marriage and a new adoption. “She sees so many children suffering,” a source tells OK!. “It’s been very hard for her not to bring them home.” Confirms the Jolie-Pitt pal: “They definitely want more kids — but not necessarily this week.”
