As the current season of MTV’s Teen Mom 2 winds down, Leah Messer has been shown having second thoughts about getting married. “I just want to make sure that we are not jumping into anything,” Leah, 18, told her fiancé, Corey Simms.

Now, friends reveal to OK! that Leah’s doubts were some of the most honest emotions she’s ever admitted on the show — because Leah has always known that her relationship with Corey is a lie.

“The reason that Leah married Corey was because the show made them,” a friend of  Leah reveals. “She told me that if they didn’t get back together, they wouldn’t have been asked to be on Teen Mom 2.”

“It’s going way too fast and I’m stressing,” Leah confessed to Corey, 20, on the March 15 episode. “I think marriage is a big commitment.” Leah and Corey, of course, did end up going through with the wedding, which took place on Oct. 17 and will be seen  on an upcoming episode of Teen Mom 2.

However, as OK! previously revealed, her ex-boyfriend Robbie Kidd says he hooked up with Leah the night before her nuptials. And in a new interview, Leah’s close friend confirmed Robbie’s rendezvous with Leah to OK!. “Leah said they were both crying like babies because she had to get married. She was just distraught,” explains the pal.

So why did Leah marry Corey? The friend says her motives were mostly financial. After all, Leah has two daughters to care  for, and one of them, Ali, has had medical problems. “Leah told me she got paid to be on Teen Mom 2,” says the friend. “So there’s money on the line for her and Corey to do what they’re told to do.”
