After an almost ridiculous amount of back and forth over where and when Michael Jackson would finally be laid to rest, the official word has come down from the Jackson family's representatives that he will be buried on his birthday, Aug. 29.
The statement reads: "Michael Jackson will be laid to rest at Holly Terrace in the Grand Mausoleum at Glendale Forest Lawn Memorial Park in Glendale, CA on Saturday, August 29, 2009, at 10:00 AM PST, on what would have been his 51st birthday. The private ceremony will be limited to family and close friends. There will be accommodations for the media nearby. The Jackson family once again wishes to express its gratitude to Michael’s fans around the world for their support during these difficult times."
