Jamie-Lynn Sigler centers herself by inhaling and exhaling.
The actress, 29, whose thriller Beneath The Dark is on DVD now, takes a few minutes to breathe quietly each day.
“I think that’s good for anyone,” she tells me. “It helps you connect with yourself. I think it promotes happiness. Those few quiet moments are important for your mind to settle. It slows everything down, and calms everything down. I don’t think people give themselves enough time for that.”

Despite her status as a Hollywood star, other little things also bring joy to Jamie-Lynn.
“I think a vacation is when I go back to Long Island and stay with my family, and see my niece and nephew. It’s relaxing, and you’re reminded of what’s important. You’re around your family, and especially being around young kids, they’re so innocent and happy and ready for what’s new every day, and I think that’s inspiring.”
Beneath The Dark is available on DVD now.
