Who's in control? That would be none other than Janet Jackson! As the trial of Dr. Conrad Murray heats up in L.A., Janet decided to reschedule her Australian tour dates for her "Number Ones" tour in order to be with her family.

Originally, Janet was supposed to be in concert in Melbourne this Wednesday, Thursday and Saturday but it looks like she'll make up the missed shows by adding an additional date next week in Melbourne. According to RadarOnline, in a statement she indicated, "When I planned these shows, the schedule in California was completely different. After talking with my family last night, I decided we must be together right now." She added, "This saddens me in so many ways."

The tour promoter, Paul Dainty, also indicated it's very important for Janet to be with the Jackson family right now. "While Janet and our company apologize for any inconvenience for the reschedule of the Melbourne shows, we thank Janet for the great and successful concerts in Perth and Adelaide and eagerly await her return. Our thoughts and prayers are with Janet and the entire Jackson family."

As Janet shows solidarity with her family, she's already spoken publicly about her opinion on the June 25, 2009 death of her brother Michael. In an ABC News interview that year she indicated that Dr. Murray is responsible for Michael's death and should not be allowed to practice medicine. "He was the one who was administering," she said. "I think he should be responsible."
