Jason Bateman Dishes on Arrested Development

There's good news and bad news for fans of Arrested Development, who have been waiting for a film of the critically-acclaimed TV show ever since it went off the air: The good news is, it's happening. The bad news? It might be a while. "The film is being written, and when it's done we'll schedule and shoot it," Jason Bateman told OK! at the premiere of Men Who Stare at Goats after-party Friday during the Toronto Film Festival. "My guess is that Mitch Hurwitz is done writing it, and it's maybe a year-and-a-half before it's in theaters," added Jason, who plays the de facto leader of the the Bluth family, Michael Bluth.
The long wait will be well worth it, in Jason's opinion.
"I tried to figure out what's in his mind in year one of Arrested Development, but gave up on that," he says of Michael Bluth. "It's going to be something good now."
Off camera, Jason is busy with his own family, including three-year-old Francesca and wife Amanda Anka. So does he want more kids?
"Are you selling?" Jason joked to OK!. "Do you have any cheap ones?"
