Jason Segel has a new film coming out on April 27 called The Five-Year Engagement, but one new movie he has confirmed he won't be a part of is the next Muppets film.
Jason told Access Hollywood at the NYC premiere of Five-Year that his "goal was to bring the Muppets back to the Muppets I grew up with and to set the stage for them to do anything."

Although he won't be a part of the next film, he says he's leaving our favorite characters in capable hands. "My writing partner Nick Stoller who directed Five-Year Engagement is going to write this one and James Bobin will direct it theoretically. I did what I set out to do and I wanted to take a little puppet break for a little bit."
