Maybe shedding 30 pounds had something to do with shedding her past but for Jennie Garth, this year has been all about the journey.
The former star of Beverly Hills, 90210 dealt with heartbreak this year after her 11-year marriage to Peter Facinelli crumbled, along with the milestone of turning 40.

She told People, "2012 has been a bit of a rebirth for me as a person by shedding that negative space and all the pain associated with that time." Now with her own reality show, Jennie Garth: A Little Bit Country, she's been able to "focus on taking better care of myself." Part of that care includes whittling down to smaller sizes or as she called it, "30 lbs. of dead weight."

After shedding the poundage, she was able to get rid of negative forces that previously weighed her down, too. The newly single Jennie took it all in stride as she looks forward to the future: "It definitely feels like a great time in my life. Even through the ups and downs, I'm happy. I'm thankful to be alive."
