Moments before casual-chic Jennifer Aniston arrives for the premiere of her Lifetime original movie Five held Monday at Skylight Soho in NYC, her dressed-down boyfriend Justin Theroux crosses the velvet rope and heads inside.
What does she love about this time in her life?
“Everything!” Jen says, running inside to meet up with him.
She seems happy, and pals back that up.
Kristin Hahn, who executive produced the breast cancer short films with Jen, approves of Justin. That means something, considering she was a bridesmaid during her 2000 nuptials to Brad Pitt. Their friendship dates back “twenty-something” years.
“I like him very, very much,” Kristin says. “They have the same comedic sensibilities, and they’re both very affectionate people, so they speak the same language in the way they interact.”
She adds, “They really respect each other, because they were friends first. They were just friends working together on Wanderlust, so they became each other’s admirers of each other’s craft, and it was just friendship, and now it’s evolved into something else. I think they admired each other’s craft first.”

For Jen, life is looking bright.
“She hasn’t changed at all,” Kristin says. “She’s just having more fun.”
She continues, “I love seeing her happy. She always finds joy in her work. In her friendships, she’s the most committed, loving, generous friend. She’s one of those people who make you feel special all the time - and wanted and needed. She’s always full of joy, and friendship and work and play, so now, it’s fun to see the four corners of life. There’s another corner.”

Patty Jenkins, who directs one of the short films, thinks Justin has it made.
“They seem very happy,” she says. “She’s smart, she’s hot, she’s cool. She’s a self-made person. Jennifer has made an incredibly intelligent, powerful career out of herself, through sheer talent – and beauty – but talent.”
Jennifer Aniston executive produced and directed a package of breast cancer awareness short films called Five, which air on Lifetime October 10.
