Jennifer Garner is seen by many as being one of the best moms in Hollywood, and makes juggling her career, hot actor husband and three children look effortlessly easy.
But, of course, it's not. And the 40-year-old has written a blog for iVillage in which she waxes lyrical about figuring out if she is "getting it right" and confesses that it sometimes keeps her "up at night."

Jennifer stars in the new movie The Odd Life of Timothy Green, playing a mom, Cindy Green, who obsesses about making her child happy at every moment. Jennifer says she was like that with her first child and so shares a deep connection with the character.
The recent Olympics has also made her question her parenting skills and how hands-on she should be with her children, Violet, 6, Seraphina, 3, and 5-month-old Samuel, in helping to harness their talents.
"If I ever see Michael Phelps' mother at a Subway, I will burst into hysterical tears from some kind of deep sense memory," Jennifer wrote, asking fellow parents if they vowed to double up on their kids' judo lessons to increase their chances of sitting in the stands of the 2024 Olympics.

"Do you push through until they like it again or is that too Tiger Mom? Do you let them quit and risk the future admonitions for letting them give it up - OR - do you find a Lego specialist and cross your fingers George Lucas has a seventh Star Wars up his sleeve?
"This is the kind of mothering - okay, parenting - conundrum that keeps me up at night. How do I know if I'm getting it right? Isn't it my job to parent, to encourage, to help my child define themselves?
"Or should I step out of the way and let them be led by their passions?"
Jennifer, who is married to Oscar winner Ben Affleck, recently said that her parenting style has evolved over time and she is not nearly as uptight about getting everything perfect as she was when Violet was born.
The Odd Life of Timothy Green opens Aug. 15, and promises to be a tearjerker.
