Jennifer Lopez appears on an episode of The Ellen DeGeneres Show today and heartbreakingly reveals that she may not be returning to American Idol next season.
The Idol judge and her What to Expect When You're Expecting co-star Cameron Diaz sat down with Ellen DeGeneres to talk rumors about their so-called bitter relationship, J.Lo's real thoughts on adoption and whether or not they keep up with their magazine reading.
"Are you going to go back to American Idol next year?" Ellen asked Jennifer, who genuinely looked to be torn about her decision.
"I don’t know," she replied, before Ellen added that she "loves" J.Lo on the show. "I enjoy it. I really do enjoy it," Jennifer explained. "Now this is my second year... I don’t know if I can go for a third year, you know? I miss doing other things. It really does lock you down. Which was nice the first year with the babies being 3 and 4, but now they’re getting older and about to go in school, I don’t know, I just don’t know."
Ellen, who was a judge on Idol herself for a season in 2010, totally agreed with Jennifer's stance on the subject, saying she "gets" what she's going through.
What Ellen doesn't get, though, is how or why Jennifer reads magazines! The actress admitted that she finds reading the celebrity news mags "quite fun" and believes that most stars do.
"I get mad when they say things that are not true about me," J.Lo laughed, "but I enjoy looking at what everybody's wearing... you know, I'm a girl like everybody else!"

When Ellen asked Cameron if she picked up a magazine every now and then, Cam responded, "I try not to honestly."
J.Lo also wanted to take the opportunity to explain some reports out there that are a bit misleading.
OK! NEWS: JENNIFER LOPEZ ADMITS: "I CAN DEFINITELY SEE MYSELF ADOPTING"
"I know I'm being misquoted in the press a lot about like how I want to adopt and I had depression when I had babies... none of that’s really true," Jennifer confessed, before explaining what she really meant in a recent interview with Access Hollywood.
"About the adoption, I really never thought about adoption before this movie What to Expect. I just thought , 'Oh I'll have my own kids.' I never thought about it as something I would do," she explained. "But after the movie… through the character, I really came to understand how people do it because before I just never really thought about it."
"And as far as the depression thing," J.Lo continued, "I was referring to one time when the What to Expect When You're Expecting book was really helpful... during the baby blues. Those are the two stories that people ran away with a little bit."
