Jenny McCarthy Talks Her Lowest Low: I Thought "It's Over"

If there's anyone who could be the spokesperson for heartbreak and emotional resilience, it's Jenny McCarthy.

She tells Celebuzz that her autistic son, Evan, came close to dying, and during the ordeal, the host of NBC's Love in the Wild thought her career would go kaput as well.

"When I was at my lowest point in my life, when my son was having seizures and cardiac arrest, I really thought I would never be able to go back to work and do anything funny,” she confessed of his 2005 medical problems. “When your kid’s sick, it’s over.”

However, Evan rallied and Jenny says she was able to "enjoy life again" and transformed into a better person.

“People say, ‘Oh my God, you saved your son!’ But he really saved me. He brought a whole new perspective to me on what matters and what doesn’t.”

After several high profile relationships and a rather sad split from Jim Carrey, Jenny, who is dating football player Brian Urlacher, now tells people to take a vacation with your love to see if it will last.

In related news, it was reported today that Jenny may try her hand at Playboy centerfold modeling again.

"I would absolutely pose for Playboy. I would be so flattered if they asked me," she told the Toronto Sun. "It's probably not going to happen but I think I want to do it again."
