For all the talk of starting a family with his new wife, Rebecca Romijn, Jerry O’Connell seemed to forget the couple already has one,

thanks to the addition of his Carpoolers castmate T.J. Miller in their home.

“He’s our adopted son!” Jerry jokes to OK! at the People’s

Choice nomination party.

The 26-year-old actor shacked up with the newlyweds for a

bit when they were married back in July and fit in so well that Jerry and

Rebecca are including him in a timeless holiday tradition.

“He’s actually going to be in our Christmas card. We’re dressing him in an angel outfit!”

As far as the holidays go, the 33-year-old says he and Rebecca, who stars on

Ugly Betty, may have to amend their plans with the recent writers’ strike. “It’s

tough — nobody has a job! We were going to travel but because nobody’s going to

be working, we might have to cut the budget a little bit,” Jerry says. “I think

we’ll stay local."

Also affected is his Christmas shopping as he jokes he’ll really tighten the

purse strings with those and buy his wife something practical “like a computer

printer.”

But Jerry hopes to stick with some holiday traditions: “I cook and her mother and

father are very good cooks. Rebecca’s family is Dutch so they make fattening mayonnaise-y

things that are very good.”
