Joe Simpson, photographer, and father to Jessica Simpson, has reportedly been diagnosed with prostate cancer.

According to People, the diagnosis happened two months ago. Shortly after, Joe underwent prostate surgery, which the doctors claim went well. The report further claims that he has since returned to work, and has made adjustments to his dietary regimen.

“He’s feeling great now and is optimistic,” a source shared. “He’s felt so much love and support from his family and friends.”

The devastating revelation comes just days after OKmagazine.com reported that Jessica mysteriously locked herself in an airplane bathroom during a flight from L.A. to New York. “She didn’t respond to people banging on the door,” a source told OK!. “She did mutter, ‘Sorry everyone,’ when she finally left."
