Pop singer and reality starlet Jessica Simpson, who grew up in Texas, has relocated to the country music capital, Nashville, with the goal of exploring her inner country crooner.
In the past, the elder Simpson sister, more famous for her bubblegum pop than her Texas twang, has expressed interest in releasing a country album, and now OK! has learned she's not just whistling "Dixie."
“Jessica has been writing music with John Rich of country duo Big & Rich,” one Nashville insider reveals to OK!. But the blonde singer/actress' time in Tennessee hasn't been all work and no play, as she has been able to get out and about with her father Joe Simpson and best buddy Cacee Cobb. Jess and company recently checked out the new restaurant Agave that specializes in tequila and tapas.
