Jessica Simpson helped celebrate her mother's birthday by attending a dinner at Next Door Tapas on Monday in Studio City, Calif. Longtime family friend Lane Garrison was also in attendance — Joe Simpson was Lane's youth minister in Texas and even lived with the family for some time.
