Now that Jessica Simpson has adjusted to life with new daughter Maxwell, the star is starting to make plans for her long-delayed wedding to fiancé Eric Johnson. Friends expected the couple, who welcomed their baby into the world on May 1, to wait at least a year, but Jessica, 31, is ready.

"I'm surprised she'd get married so quickly, she always said she had so much planning to do and wanted to enjoy motherhood first," says an insider.
But Jessica is eager for a celebration of her new family, so she recently hired Mindy Weiss, the celeb party planner who did her baby shower, to take care of all the components.
"She has a newborn, she knows she can't be micromanaging every detail herself," says a confidante. Plus, the wedding has gotten bigger than Jessica first expected.
"The guest list has grown from 25 to 50 to 100 to 200. Right now, she realistically thinks that the smallest she could do for a wedding is 200 people."

One thing has remained constant: She dreams of a relaxed wedding on the beach, probably in Hawaii or Mexico.
"She's much more at ease the second time around," explains the confidante of the star who divorced Nick Lachey in 2005. "After all, her priorities have changed to the baby instead of finding the perfect cake or song for the first dance."
