Looks like Dunder Mifflin just got a new employee! At least for a day, that is. Jim Carrey will join the season finale of The Office during a 50-minute special episode. Jim's name has been added to the illustrious list of cameos including Ricky Gervais, Will Arnett, Catherine Tate, James Spader and Ray Romano!

OK! NEWS: THE OFFICE EXTENDS STEVE CARELL'S LAST EPISODE TO 50 MINUTES

Although Steve Carell's departure from the show is coming soon, the producers are infusing a storyline full of intrigue and mystery! According to the Huffington Post, speculation will ensue as to who will replace the Dunder Mifflin boss. Although rumors swirled that Will Ferrell will take over the big role, he will no longer appear in the season finale so perhaps that idea has been shelved for the moment.

Regardless of who the replacement will be, John Krasinski told HitFlix that Steve's departure actually creates a brand new show. "The show sans-Steve it's a whole new show so we're actually really excited."

"The last two episodes this year are without Steve and without Will and they were awesome. They were really, really fun and as much as we will miss Steve for sure it's kind of great to pick up this show in a whole different way. It's really fun."
