Jimmy Buffett had a little incident during his concert Down Under. The “Margaritaville” singer was rushed to a hospital Tuesday after falling off the stage during a concert in Sydney, Australia. He is now in stable condition.
After singing “It’s been a lovely cruise, I’m sorry it’s ended,” Jimmy, 64, fell into a large gap in front of the stage at Hordern Pavilion.
According to TMZ, flashing lights from the lighting director may have caused the fall which left him unconscious.
Jimmy was reportedly unconscious for 5-10 minutes and suffered from huge gash on his head, a concert goer in the front row told TMZ.
Another concert goer, Sean Fogarty, also saw the incident occur from front and center.
According to his account, Jimmy was walking along the edge of the stage when a “huge flash of light” made it difficult for him to see and caused him to fall.
Jimmy is now in stable condition, remaining at the hospital for observation.
