Joe Son, 'Austin Powers' Star, Becomes Suspect in Murder Case

Remember the convicted felon who played Dr. Evil henchman Random Task in the very first Austin Powers movie? Well, that was the last role for Joe Son. He's currently in prison and is now a suspect in murdering a prison cell mate.
According to The Los Angeles Times, the actor is currently in prison for life for torturing a woman in 1990. Now he's a prime suspect in the murder of a 50 year-old sex offender who was sharing his cell in a central California prison.

The sex offender was in the slammer for a two year sentence for failing to register as a sex offender. His body was found yesterday.

As for Joe, he's behind bars for his conviction of participating in a horrific gang rape and torturing a woman who was walking around her neighborhood to look at holiday lights. Prison officials told TMZ that Joe has been placed in solitary confinement for the moment for "safety reasons."
