When OK! caught up with Nicole Richie and Joel Madden at last night's Noble Awards in Beverly Hills, the proud dad had babies on the brain, which only makes sense considering Nicole recently gave birth to their second child, son Sparrow.
When asked about the best gift he's ever received, Joel replied with what any good father would say, "a baby!"
Joel also tells OK! that Sparrow is just your typical newborn. "He’s good... He’s one month and he does what one-month-olds do. So go to an Internet Web site and look up what one-month-olds do and fill in the blanks," he jokes.
And so far, there's no older sibling jealousy from 19-month-old daughter Harlow. "She’s great," explains Joel. "She loves it. She’s really easy."
And Joel, who says he's "trying to be a better person every day," tells OK! that the things he's most grateful for is that, "My kids are healthy. My family is healthy."
